1st place in the CS-412 CTF @ EPFL
Achieved first place in the CS-412 CTF, the Software Security course at EPFL. I managed to full solve the binary exploitation and reverse engineering focused CTF, while also first-blooding almost all of the challenges. The most difficult challenge I have solved without correctly provided libc.
5th place in the Swiss ECSC qualifiers (SHC)
Achieved 5th place in the SHC, the Swiss qualifiers for the national ECSC team. The CTF spanned over 2 months, with creative and new type of challenges from the DACH region. Apart from nationality reasons, this would have allowed me to compete in the finals for a spot in the national team.
2nd place in the Hungarian ECSC qualifiers (HCSC)
Achieved 2nd place in the HCSC, the Hungarian qualifiers for the national ECSC team. The CTF spanned over 72 hours, with a final large forensics challenge line released in the final 24 hours. Next to earning generous rewards, the result also qualifies me for competition in the national team for the ECSC.
Qualified for Defcon CTF finals with Organizers
Qualified for Defcon CTF finals, playing with Organizers. The qualifiers lasted 48 hours with various creative challenges based on binary analysis and exploitation. It was an amazing experience playing as part of one of the strongest teams in the world, and achieving a great result together as a large team.
Achieved 13th place in the Insomnihack CTF
Achieved 13th place in Insomnihack CTF, playing with flabgod, one of the flagbot teams from ETH Zurich. The CTF competition started at 18:00 and lasted until 05:00 the next day, playing out overnight. It features various classical CTF challenges as well as cool onsite and hardware based challenges, which were interesting to work on.
2024
Played in Team Hungary for ECSC in Turin, Italy
Participated in the ECSC, as part of the Hungarian national team: HCST. The contest lasted over 4-5 days with a classical jeopardy-style CTF competition and also an attack-defense-style competition. The challenges were complex, creative and thoughtful, the atmosphere was amazing and I got to meet so many like-minded cool people.
Achieved 1st place in the senior category for the Hungarian ECSC qualifiers (HCSC)
Achieved 1st place in the senior category during the HCSC, the qualifiers for the Hungarian national team for the ECSC. The CTF played out during 72 hours, with various creative challenges and a large Windows-based forensic challenge-line over the last 24 hours of the contest. This spot has earned me a generous reward, as well as participation in boot camp activities and then in the ECSC as part of the national team.
Achieved 2nd place in Bjorn CTF
Achieved 2nd place in Bjorn CTF, an annual CTF event organized at ETH Zurich by the flagbot team. Competed with my friends I have met during the first few weeks of university. The competition had various classical CTF challenges, such as reverse engineering and pwn, but also some creative and fun on-site challenges.
2023
Full solve FlareOn 10
Manage to fully solve FlareOn 10, an annual reverse engineering focused CTF event organized by the FLARE team. The competition was designed to be played solo, with all challenges focusing mainly on reverse engineering tasks, with occasional collusion with cryptography. There were a lot of interesting challenges and different types of binaries to reverse engineer and extract the flags from.
102nd place in HTB Cyber Apocalypse 2023
Achieved 102nd place in HTB Cyber Apocalypse 2023, an annual 5 day CTF competition organized by HTB. I am proud of achieving such a result, since I went in as a solo team, and manged to place pretty well.
